Our record now stands at 12-31-0.

Our first foray into women's hockey was to play in Richardson, TX at the ICE Training Center in April 2007, against each of the 4 teams of the Richardson Women's Hockey League. They were even gracious enough to loan us a goalie for all 4 games, and all the women were absolutely awesome! Here's a really cool write-up of those games.

We then played in the "Summer Blast" women's tournament on Memorial Day weekend 2007 in their novice division in Richardson, TX. And we actually won 2 games, and they were shutouts!! Here's a great write-up on that tournament as well: Click here.

We went to St. Louis to play friendship games against the St. Louis Ice Queens and the St. Louis Green Surge teams, February 22-24, 2008. We had a blast with these girls! They were VERY hospitable. Lost those 3 games again, but oh, well.

We played in the Nashville Noteworthy Women's Tournament April 25-26, 2008 as a combined team with the St. Louis Ice Queens, calling ourselves the Rusty Queens. We lost all 3 games, but we had a great time and you could tell that we all really improved over the weekend.

We returned to the Dallas Summer Blast Tournament May 23-25, 2008, with only 8 skaters (Simone, Laura, Vanessa, Jess, Dawna, Susie, Melissa, and Sara from Springfield, with Maryanne in goal). We lost 7-1, 2-1, and 5-1, but won the Consolation game 5-3 to take 3rd place again!

We went to St. Louis again to play against the St. Louis Ice Queens, Edge, and Ice Holes teams, February 6-8, 2009. Another good time with them, even though we lost all 4 games: 5-3 vs IQ, 8-0 vs Edge, 8-0 vs IH, and 4-0 vs Edge. We had a good time, though, and thank those teams for having us.

The Huntsville Rocket City Rumble Tournament in March 2009 was a lot of fun. I especially enjoyed the team-building competition, which was a good addition to the tournament. We won 1 game and lost 3.

Back for the 3rd time at the Summer Blast in Dallas May 22-24, 2009. Again we were short on skaters and only had 9. We lost all four games, 8-0, 8-0, 7-1, and 5-3, but as always, had fun playing.

June 5-7, 2009, at the Nashville Noteworthy tourny, we played in the lower division. Unfortunately, several skaters couldn't come and we ended up with only 7. They graciously allowed us to borrow 3 skaters from another team, and we ended up winning all our games in round-robin play, 2-0, 1-0, 9-0, and 4-3. Because of the way the tournament was set up, this put us in the upper division championship game against the Huntsville Blast, which we lost 6-0, to take 2nd place out of 6 teams.

Combining with a few women from Kansas City & Huntsville, we played in the 1st annual Women's Round Robin games in Springfield, MO, October 10 & 11, 2009. We won all our games: 5-1 vs. St. Louis Ice Queens, 2-0 vs. St. Louis Edge, 4-3 (shootout) vs. Springfield, and 6-2 vs. Ice Queens. Deborah Jacbos, from Huntsville, scored her first goal, and was very excited! Good weekend, and it was fun getting to know everyone!

Some Kansas City women joined us again in St. Louis for the First St. Louis Gateway Classic women's tournament. We lost against the Dayton Fangs 6-1 (it was a much closer game than the score makes it look!) and the Huntsville Blast 2-0, then early Sunday won against the Edge 2-1 and then tied them in the consolation game, 3-3 (with 0.1 seconds left!). We had several women playing in their first games that weekend.

Another awesome time at the 2nd Annual Hunstville Rocket City Rumble women's Tournament!! We lost the first game 5-2, tied the second game 1-1, then won the third game 2-0 to make it into the 3rd vs 4th game, which we won 2-0. We came in 3rd out of 6 teams, and came in 2nd in the team-building competition (by a tie-breaker!).

Didn't do so well at the Dallas Summer Blast tournament in May 2010...lost 5-2, 6-0, 6-0, and the consolation game 5-0, but came in 4th & had a great time!
